Job Title: Dump Truck Driver
Job Description
This role involves safely operating an automatic transmission quad axle dump truck to haul construction materials to and from job sites while complying with all applicable regulations. The driver ensures timely deliveries, performs thorough inspections, maintains accurate documentation, and supports general job site activities as needed.
Responsibilities
Safely operate an automatic transmission quad axle dump truck in full compliance with all DOT regulations.
Haul construction materials such as dirt, rock, and other aggregates to and from job sites in a timely and efficient manner.
Perform thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and promptly report any mechanical or safety issues.
Properly load, transport, and unload materials to prevent spills, damage, or safety hazards.
Maintain accurate logs for hours of service, load tickets, and delivery records in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
Communicate clearly and professionally with dispatchers, supervisors, and job site personnel to coordinate routes and schedules.
Adhere to all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety requirements at all times.
Keep the truck clean, organized, and in good working condition, including basic upkeep as needed.
Assist with general job site tasks when not driving, supporting overall project operations.
Report to the Denver or Fort Mill location each morning to pick up and load the dump truck before heading to assigned job sites.
Essential Skills
Valid CDL Class A (preferred) or Class B license.
Clean driving record with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
Experience operating automatic transmission, quad axle dump trucks.
Knowledge of construction site safety practices and procedures.
Ability to follow DOT regulations and maintain accurate driving and load records.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and job site personnel.
Capability to perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Experience driving on and between active construction sites.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working in construction or civil infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with hauling various construction materials such as dirt, rock, and aggregates.
Comfort working in outdoor environments with exposure to dust, noise, and heavy equipment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and report vehicle or safety issues promptly.
Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $52000.00/yr.
