This role leads electrical construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring each project stays on scope, schedule, and budget while delivering high-quality results. The position oversees job costing and financial performance, prepares detailed estimates and forecasts, and serves as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams. The successful candidate will manage commercial electrical projects, support a growing division, and contribute to a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Plan, manage, and close electrical construction projects while maintaining control of scope, schedule, and budget.
Track job costs and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle to ensure accuracy and profitability.
Prepare and present monthly project status updates, including percent complete and financial forecasting.
Perform detailed electrical take-offs and estimates for service work, tenant improvements, light commercial, and light industrial projects.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities while building and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
Make informed decisions that impact project cost, timelines, quality, and overall performance.
Promote and cross-sell additional company services by offering integrated project solutions.
Serve as the primary point of contact with general contractors, vendors, inspectors, and internal project teams.
Coordinate, schedule, and direct field labor and subcontractors to meet project milestones and deliverables.
Review construction documents and apply project management best practices to ensure successful execution.
Manage change orders, including pricing, documentation, and communication with stakeholders.
Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and construction best practices.
Enforce safety standards and actively support an injury-free work environment on all projects.
Oversee multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and client expectations.
Use project management, estimating, and job cost tracking software to maintain accurate records and reporting.
Collaborate with internal teams to support the growth and success of the commercial electrical division.
Essential Skills
Proven experience managing electrical construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
Hands-on project management experience in commercial electrical construction, including projects in the $1-10 million scope range.
Strong understanding of job costing, budgeting, forecasting, and percent-of-completion reporting.
Demonstrated ability to estimate electrical work, including service upgrades, tenant improvements, and light commercial and industrial projects.
Experience supervising field labor and coordinating multiple stakeholders such as general contractors, vendors, and inspectors.
Solid knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and construction best practices.
Proficiency with project management, estimating, and job cost tracking software.
Experience working with construction documents and change order management.
Background in electrical construction and experience with electrical contractors.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining clear communication and strong leadership.
Strong decision-making skills with a focus on project quality, cost control, and schedule adherence.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with commercial construction projects, particularly within a dedicated commercial division.
Familiarity with estimation tools and platforms, including Accubid.
Construction management or construction project management experience in a professional setting.
Ability to promote and cross-sell additional services through integrated project solutions.
Strong interpersonal skills to build long-term relationships with clients and partners.
Comfort working in a growing division within a large electrical contracting organization.

The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $155000.00/yr.
