Assistant General Manager - Fashion Distribution Center
What You'll Do
As an Assistant General Manager for a Walmart Fashion Distribution Center, you'll play a critical role in delivering fast, accurate, and cost-effective distribution of apparel and softline merchandise to stores and customers. You'll help lead a large, high-volume operation, balancing speed, quality, inventory integrity, and associate engagement in a dynamic, seasonal environment. You'll partner closely with the General Manager to set direction, drive operational excellence, and develop leaders-while ensuring a safe, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development and execution of the facility business plan to achieve operational goals related to safety, quality, productivity, service, and cost.
Lead day-to-day operations across multiple departments, ensuring consistent execution of standard work in a fast-paced, fashion-focused distribution environment.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance throughput, accuracy, inventory flow, and associate productivity-particularly during peak and seasonal demand.
Partner with workforce planning teams to ensure staffing, scheduling, and labor deployment align with business needs and service expectations.
Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) including production, quality, inventory accuracy, safety, and service to stores.
Support financial performance by managing expenses, improving asset utilization, and contributing to budget planning and cost-reduction initiatives.
Ensure compliance with Walmart Logistics, safety, quality, and operational standards through consistent execution, audits, and leader accountability.
Lead, coach, and develop salaried and hourly leaders by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and building a strong leadership pipeline.
Resolve associate, store, and business partner concerns through fact-based decision-making and collaboration.

What You'll Bring
Experience leading large teams in distribution, fulfillment, or supply chain operations (fashion or softlines experience preferred).

The annual salary range for this position is $116,000.00 - $174,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management); and 2 years experience in a senior management role within an operations/distribution/logistics environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide OR 2 years experience as a Walmart Logistics Operations Manager including supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates OR 4 years experience in a senior management role in an operations/distribution/logistics /retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide.
Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).
