Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Electrical Maintenance Technician maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs automated systems and industrial machinery to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. This role supports manufacturing operations by performing routine preventive maintenance, diagnosing issues in chemical processing equipment, and completing timely repairs across facility systems and equipment.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and diagnose automated and computer-controlled systems to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
Troubleshoot and repair chemical processing equipment, including pumps, vacuum pumps, chillers, agitators and mixers, hot oil systems, ovens, and related machinery.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all equipment and document findings for tracking and analysis.
Complete general maintenance and repair work for buildings and facility systems to support overall plant operations.
Execute daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists for building and production equipment and maintain accurate service records.
Install, modify, and repair electrical wiring and equipment, including new electrical systems for remodeling projects and facility upgrades.
Diagnose and repair electrical equipment, control circuits, switches, and refrigeration-related components.
Use appropriate electrical test instruments to perform basic and advanced electrical troubleshooting.
Repair and maintain electrical locks, access systems, and control panels to support facility security and access control.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance and repair requests to minimize downtime and safety risks.
Maintain detailed documentation of all scheduled and completed maintenance activities in accordance with facility standards.
Perform exterior and custodial maintenance tasks as needed to support overall facility upkeep.
Assist with obtaining quotes for parts and supplies and place orders as necessary to support maintenance activities.
Essential Skills
Strong electrical aptitude with proven ability to troubleshoot, repair, install, and perform preventive maintenance on industrial systems.
Hands-on experience servicing chemical processing equipment, including pumps, vacuum systems, chillers, agitators and mixers, hot oil systems, and ovens.
Solid working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, with a clear understanding of facility machinery and industrial equipment.
Demonstrated experience with automation systems and PLC troubleshooting.
Proficiency in electrical wiring, control circuits, switches, and basic refrigeration-related components.
Ability to use electrical test instruments for troubleshooting and diagnostics.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Minimum of 5+ years of mechanical experience.
Minimum of 5+ years of industrial and electrical experience.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience in chemical manufacturing is a plus.
Experience working with chemical process equipment in a production environment.
Strong troubleshooting mindset with a willingness to learn, develop, and grow within the organization.
Ability to follow maintenance schedules, checklists, and documentation procedures accurately.
Capability to support both production equipment maintenance and general facility maintenance tasks.
Physical ability to regularly stand, walk, use hands and arms, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
Ability to frequently lift and move materials weighing over 25 pounds.
Ability to maintain close, distance, and color vision, along with adequate depth perception.
Ability to communicate clearly using verbal communication and comprehend auditory information.
Comfort working in a hands-on, industrial maintenance environment with chemical processing operations.

Work Environment
This role operates within a chemical manufacturing environment that involves working around industrial machinery, chemical processing equipment, and automated systems. The position is highly hands-on and requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling as you move throughout the facility and access equipment. You will regularly handle and move materials weighing over 25 pounds and work with a variety of tools, electrical test instruments, and mechanical components. Clear vision at various distances, color vision, and depth perception are important for safely inspecting and servicing equipment. The environment is production-focused, with routine preventive maintenance, urgent repair needs, and facility upkeep activities forming part of the daily work.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $78000.00/yr.
