Job Title: Carpenter Foreman
Job Description
The Carpenter Foreman oversees and performs commercial carpentry work on uninhabited building sites under the direct supervision of site superintendents and regular oversight from ownership. This role focuses on constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, metal, plywood, and wallboard for commercial, industrial, institutional, and agricultural buildings using a wide range of hand and power tools.
Responsibilities
Work under the direct supervision of site superintendents while maintaining consistent communication about project progress, issues, and resource needs.
Construct, erect, install, and repair structural and non-structural components made of wood, metal, plywood, and wallboard for interiors and exteriors of commercial, industrial, institutional, and agricultural buildings.
Perform rough carpentry tasks such as framing, setting metal studs, building forms, and preparing structures to receive finishes.
Carry out finish and trim carpentry, including installation of interior finishes, trim, and other detailed woodwork to meet quality and specification requirements.
Essential Skills
Demonstrated experience in commercial construction carpentry, including both rough and finish carpentry work.
Proficiency with carpenter's hand tools and power tools used for cutting, shaping, fastening, and finishing wood, metal, plywood, and wallboard.
Ability to read, interpret, and work from technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with commercial construction environments, including work on uninhabited commercial, industrial, institutional, or agricultural buildings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering work that meets or exceeds specification and quality requirements.

Work Environment
This role is based on commercial construction sites for uninhabited structures, including multiple new buildings such as distribution centers, mechanic and truck shops, and health clinic or pharmacy facilities. Work takes place for a general contractor performing commercial projects, primarily involving interior and exterior carpentry tasks. The environment is field-based on active construction sites, where you will use a variety of carpentry hand tools and power tools but will not operate heavy equipment, drive vehicles as part of the role, or handle money. Jobsite conditions include typical commercial construction settings, with coordination among multiple trades and adherence to strict safety practices and procedures. Dress and personal protective equipment are consistent with standard construction-site requirements, such as appropriate workwear and safety gear suitable for a commercial jobsite.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $35.00/hr.
