Accounting Specialist

Description We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to support day-to-day financial operations for a company based in Mount Holly, New Jersey. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing invoice activity and billing-related tasks in a fast-paced environment. The person in this role will contribute to accurate financial processing while partnering with internal teams to keep accounts and documentation up to date.

Responsibilities:

Review, enter, and process vendor invoices with a high level of accuracy and timeliness.

Assist with freight-related billing activities, including preparing charges, verifying details, and resolving discrepancies.

Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation for payables and receivables transactions.

Reconcile invoice and billing information against internal records to ensure completeness and correctness.

Support daily accounting operations by updating information in accounting software and ERP systems.

Communicate with vendors and internal departments to clarify payment, billing, and account questions.

Help monitor outstanding items and follow up on open invoice or billing issues to support timely resolution. Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in accounting, billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or a related finance function.

Hands-on experience working with accounting software systems and ERP platforms.

Familiarity with billing processes, invoice handling, and financial record maintenance.

Exposure to tools such as ADP, Ceridian, Concur, or similar financial and business systems.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and support accurate transaction processing.

Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Basic understanding of auditing practices and general accounting functions.
