As a Security Officer - Manufacturing site in Portland, OR , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.41 / Hour

DayTimeSat06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access activities, and appropriate emergency response actions at an automotive location.

Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site protocols.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, parking areas, shipping and receiving zones, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.

Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and assist with visitor processing, vehicle control, and/or site traffic direction as needed.

Support daily operations by communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership regarding maintenance issues, hazards, policy concerns, and other security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.

Customer service experience is preferred.

CPR certification is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
