Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

DayTimeMon05:45 PM - 06:00 AMThur05:45 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a government corrections location.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.

Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or permissions, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or unusual conditions according to site protocols.

Support order at the location by maintaining a visible armed presence, following post orders, and completing required reports, logs, and/or other security-related documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age.

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

A valid firearms permit is preferred.

An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
