Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Job Description

This role involves managing high volumes of phone calls, processing orders with precision and timeliness, collaborating with various departments, and ensuring all requests are followed through and completed.

Responsibilities

Process and fulfill orders, resolving any issues that arise.

Answer incoming calls promptly and make outbound calls to key accounts.

Enter key customer orders into Salespad and create sample invoices for multiple departments.

Collaborate with freight carriers to track shipments and manage problem sheets and credits efficiently.

Provide backup support when a Customer Service Representative is absent.

Perform additional duties as requested.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in a call center environment.

Proficiency in customer communication, order processing, and problem resolution.

Strong follow-through and communication skills, with frequent interactions with all company levels.

PC literacy and experience with computerized ordering systems.

High School diploma or GED.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in the food and beverage industry is highly desirable.

Proficiency in MRP systems, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Excellent phone and customer support skills.

Ability to recognize and address mistakes and safety issues promptly.

Work Environment

The work takes place in an office setting with ambient temperature conditions. No steel-toe footwear is required, but food safety materials such as hairnets and gloves are necessary when handling products. Initial training may include picker/packer duties to understand order flow, providing a varied role that combines desk work and time on your feet.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oakland, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
