Shift: 1st shift; 7am-3:30pm Monday - Friday (Currently working overtime 6:00am-4:30pm and some Saturdays)

Job Description
This role focuses on repairing and maintaining a wide range of plant, office, yard, and building equipment, as well as facility structures such as roofs, floors, doors, and partitions. You will support production operations by performing industrial and facilities maintenance on production machinery and building systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
Responsibilities
Repair and maintain production machinery, industrial equipment, and facility systems to minimize downtime and ensure reliable operation.
Perform facilities maintenance on plant, office, yard, and building structures, including roofs, floors, doors, partitions, and related components.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on equipment and systems, identifying root causes and implementing effective repairs.
Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance tasks on machinery, HVAC systems, plumbing, and facility infrastructure according to established schedules.
Inspect equipment and building systems regularly to identify wear, potential failures, and safety concerns, and take corrective action promptly.
Perform maintenance and repair work on HVAC systems to support a comfortable and climate-controlled facility environment.
Handle plumbing maintenance and repairs within the facility, ensuring proper operation of water, drainage, and related systems.
Use basic carpentry skills to repair or modify facility structures, such as doors, partitions, and other building components.
Work with PLC-controlled equipment to support troubleshooting and maintenance of automated systems as needed.
Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used to maintain accurate records and support continuous improvement.
Collaborate with production and facility teams to prioritize work orders and respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
Follow all safety procedures and best practices while performing maintenance tasks, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.
Essential Skills
Hands-on experience in facilities maintenance, including repair and upkeep of building structures and systems.
Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on industrial equipment.
Experience with industrial maintenance and repair of production machinery and related equipment.
Ability to perform preventive maintenance on machinery, HVAC systems, plumbing, and facility infrastructure.
Working knowledge of HVAC systems and their maintenance and repair requirements.
Practical plumbing maintenance skills for facility systems.
Ability to perform maintenance repair tasks across multiple trades, including mechanical and basic electrical work.
Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics in an industrial environment.
Troubleshooting ability for complex equipment issues, including identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
Capability to work with PLC-controlled systems for basic troubleshooting and support.
Carpentry skills sufficient to maintain and repair doors, partitions, and other structural elements.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety while performing maintenance tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing or industrial facility.
Familiarity with maintenance recordkeeping and documentation practices.
Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance tasks and respond quickly to urgent issues.
Strong communication and teamwork skills when working with production and facility staff.
Comfort working across multiple disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry.

Work Environment
The role is based in a clean, climate-controlled facility focused on manufacturing equipment used by fire and emergency services. You will work around production machinery and building systems, using a variety of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry tools and equipment. The standard schedule is a first shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with additional hours currently available on some Fridays and Saturdays. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and reliable operation of all equipment and facility systems.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
