Mechanical Technician 4 - Keep a 300,000 sq. ft. Facility Running Strong
Join a high-performance facilities team responsible for maintaining a large manufacturing and government campus . As a Mechanical Technician 4, you'll take on a wide range of maintenance, repair, plumbing, HVAC support, and preventative tasks that keep the building safe, reliable, and operating at peak efficiency. This is a hands-on role for a mechanically skilled technician who thrives in a fast-moving, structured environment.
?? What You'll Do
Perform general building maintenance across a 300,000 sq. ft. campus
Handle plumbing repairs in restrooms and facility areas
Support HVAC tasks including filter and belt changes and assisting HVAC techs
Execute preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life
Manage work orders from help desk to immediate requests
Assist with temperature & pressure controls to maintain indoor air quality
Support conference room setups and respond to facility requests
Maintain spare parts inventory for mechanical and plumbing systems
Monitor building automation systems under facility leadership
Follow strict safety protocols and complete safety-related PMs
Participate in on-call rotation and weekend building checks
Report repair needs clearly and promptly to facility leadership
?? Essential Skills
1+ year experience in general building repair & maintenance
1+ year experience with basic plumbing & electrical tasks
Strong background in preventative maintenance and work order systems
Mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot building systems
Ability to perform basic HVAC tasks (filters, belts, support work)
Strong communication skills in English
Valid driver's license
Ability to lift 80 lbs , climb ladders up to 30 ft , and work overhead
High school diploma or GED
?Additional Skills & Qualifications
Technical training in maintenance, HVAC, or related fields
Experience in manufacturing plants , large campuses, or government facilities
Familiarity with HVAC/R systems , indoor air quality, and pressure controls
Experience with building automation systems
Ability to support inventory management
Professional, customer-facing demeanor
HVAC, maintenance, or trade certifications are a plus

You'll work throughout a 300,000 sq. ft. manufacturing and government campus , including mechanical rooms, restrooms, conference areas, and production-related spaces. The role is physically active with frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and overhead work. You'll work with plumbing systems, HVAC/R equipment, building automation systems, and standard maintenance tools. A professional appearance is required in occupied areas. Government facility access requires documentation such as a passport or birth certificate on day one.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
