Job Title: A&P Mechanic - Citation and Corporate Jet Maintenance
Job Description
This role focuses on troubleshooting, inspecting, and repairing a fleet of corporate jets, with a strong emphasis on Citation aircraft. You will perform comprehensive mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and avionics maintenance in a Part 135 environment, ensuring all aircraft remain airworthy, safe, and compliant with FAA regulations. The position requires a hands-on professional who takes ownership of aircraft health, maintains meticulous documentation, and collaborates closely with a skilled maintenance team.
Responsibilities
Perform troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, and modifications on Citation jets and other corporate airframes within a fleet of approximately 22 aircraft.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical discrepancies using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
Install, test, and troubleshoot complex avionics equipment and electrical systems to ensure proper operation and integration.
Conduct thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections to confirm aircraft are airworthy and fully compliant with applicable regulations.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications in accordance with FAA regulations and company policies.
Collaborate with other maintenance team members and flight operations to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion of work.
Ensure all tools, equipment, and work areas are maintained in good condition and comply with safety standards and best practices.
Stay current on maintenance techniques, FAA regulations, manufacturer service bulletins, and industry standards relevant to the aircraft maintained.
Respond to aircraft on ground (AOG) situations and provide timely, effective troubleshooting and repairs to minimize downtime.
Work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and on-call assignments, to support operational needs and flight schedules.
Support maintenance activities across multiple airframes, including Citation 750, 680, 560XL, 525 series, 510, Phenom 300, and Pilatus PC-12, as needed.
Essential Skills
Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
Minimum of 3-5 years of aircraft maintenance experience in environments such as Military, MRO, General Aviation, Commercial, or Corporate aviation.
Corporate jet maintenance experience with a strong preference for Cessna Citation aircraft, including CJ series, with at least half the fleet comprised of CJ-3s.
Experience working in a Part 135 maintenance environment.
Comprehensive knowledge of FAA regulations and industry maintenance standards.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and avionics systems.
Ability to install, test, and maintain avionics systems and jet engine-related components.
Capability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative maintenance team.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills for accurate documentation and task management.
Effective verbal and written communication skills for coordination with team members and documentation requirements.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call assignments, as operational needs require.
Ability to provide and use a complete set of personal tools appropriate for aircraft maintenance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Hands-on experience with Cessna Citation models such as Citation 750 (X), Citation 680 (Sovereign), Citation 560XL (Excel), Citation 525/525A/525B (CJ series/M2), and Citation 510 (Mustang).
Experience with additional airframes such as the Phenom 300 and Pilatus PC-12.
Military, Commercial, Corporate, MRO, or General Aviation maintenance that can be leveraged for training and cross-platform proficiency.
Prior experience as an Aircraft Mechanic, A&P Mechanic, or Avionics Technician supporting jet engine maintenance.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to new aircraft @types and evolving maintenance procedures.
Comfort working in a high-activity hangar environment with multiple aircraft in various stages of maintenance.

Work Environment
The role is based primarily in a hangar environment in Oakland, where maintenance is performed on a fleet of approximately 12 locally supported aircraft, with additional aircraft located in nearby airports such as Hayward, San Jose, and San Francisco. You will work with corporate jets, including various Citation models, a Phenom 300, and a Pilatus PC-12, using professional-grade tools, diagnostic equipment, and technical documentation. The standard work schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the possibility of transitioning to a four-day, 10-hour shift schedule that includes one weekend day. The environment is hands-on and fast-paced, with aircraft in different stages of inspection, repair, and modification. You are expected to bring and use your own tools and to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with safety and regulatory standards.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52.00 - $55.00/hr.
