Job Title: Customer Service Specialist (Bilingual French/English Preferred)
Location: Hybrid in Nashville, TN
Pay Rate: Up to $25/hr
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7 AM - 5 PM CST (Hybrid: In-office Tuesdays & Wednesdays)
Reports to: Customer Service Manager
Summary
As a Customer Service Specialist at Kelly, you will interact directly with customers to provide information about products and services, handle and resolve complaints, and deliver a professional experience in a fast-paced office environment. This role requires strong data entry, technical, and professional skills, as well as the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment. Bilingual skills in Quebec French are highly desired, but non-French speaking candidates will also be considered.
Major Responsibilities
Serve as a key point of contact for customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person; accurately document and resolve requests regarding products, services, and billing.
Independently approve solutions to customer service or billing complaints by authorizing merchandise exchanges, refunds, and bill adjustments.
Act as an escalation point for issues requiring in-depth analysis or further investigation, and refer unresolved grievances to appropriate departments.
Review, monitor, and audit records related to customer interactions and transactions, ensuring accurate data entry and compliance with internal standards.
Obtain and examine all relevant information to assess the validity of complaints and determine possible causes.
Solicit sales of new or additional products and services to existing clients when appropriate.
Analyze credits and other financial transactions to ensure accountability and transparency.
Provide leadership and mentoring support to peers, including performance feedback and guidance on best practices.
Maintain professionalism and adhere to all company policies within a collaborative, professional office environment.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
2-3 years of customer service-related experience (not in a call center).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including attention to detail, customer service abilities, and interpersonal skills.
Strong ability to work independently and manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
Proven data entry experience and ability to accurately record customer/client information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and other standard office applications.
Professional demeanor and soft skills are essential.
Fluency reading and writing in Quebec French is a plus; bilingual candidates are strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience handling escalated issues and providing appropriate referrals.
Proven data analysis and credit review experience.
Leadership or mentoring experience within a professional setting.
Experience working in a highly detailed, compliance-focused environment.

This is not a call center role; it is a professional, office-based position.
Professional appearance and conduct are required at all times.
Bilingual fluency in Quebec French is a significant plus but not required for all candidates.
