About the Role
MiniMed is seeking a Diabetes Clinical Educator (DCE) to deliver virtual training, education, and ongoing support for patients initiating and using Smart MDI solutions, including MiniMed Go. This role is instrumental in ensuring an exceptional onboarding experience and driving optimal patient outcomes through personalized, virtual education and support.
This is a 100% virtual position, supporting patients remotely across the United States. Ideal candidates will reside near Jacksonville, FL but candidates anywhere in the the United States will be considered.
The DCE will collaborate closely with internal teams and healthcare providers to deliver a seamless and engaging patient experience.
About the role
Deliver high-quality, fully virtual education and training to patients starting on Smart MDI and MiniMed Go, including 1:1 sessions, group sessions, and digital training formats
Provide ongoing patient support through proactive outreach, follow-up, and troubleshooting to drive engagement and therapy success
Create an exceptional onboarding experience by simplifying complex clinical concepts and tailoring education to meet patients where they are
Collaborate cross-functionally with the Inizio team, local territory teams, and healthcare providers to ensure aligned and coordinated patient care
Serve as a key partner in shaping and evolving this new role, bringing forward ideas, feedback, and solutions in a fast-paced environment
Support pilot initiatives and new program launches, demonstrating flexibility and the ability to pivot as needs evolve
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and training activities
Participate in team planning sessions, training initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

A valid registered license in one or more of the following fields:
Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES)
Registered Nurse (RN)
Registered Dietitian (RD)
Physician Assistant (PA)
Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Pharmacist
AND
Associate's Degree and 2 years of clinical experience
OR
Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of experience
Nice to Have
Certified Pump Trainer or experience training customers on insulin pumps
Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) / Certified Diabetes Care And Education Specialist?(CDCES)
Comprehensive knowledge of the diabetes disease state and experience training/educating patients on Medtronic products and technologies
Ability to work evenings, weekends, or on call periodically
Experience with Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$85,000 - $90,000
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
In addition to Base Salary, this position is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), which provides the opportunity to earn significant incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding your goals.
