Job Description
This Back Office Support position focuses on providing high-quality specialty care by supporting clinical staff and ensuring a smooth patient experience. You will assist with patient intake, basic clinical tasks, and customer service, helping to create an efficient and welcoming environment for patients and their families.
Responsibilities
Check patient vital signs accurately and record them in the appropriate systems or forms.
Prepare examination rooms before each patient visit by ensuring cleanliness, stocking supplies, and setting up necessary equipment.
Assist with patient intake, including verifying basic information and helping patients feel comfortable and informed.
Answer patient questions in a professional and courteous manner, using medical terminology appropriately and escalating clinical questions when needed.
Support patient care activities under the direction of clinical staff, contributing to a safe and efficient care environment.
Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors, addressing concerns and directing them to the appropriate resources.
Float between departments as needed, adapting quickly to different workflows and supporting various teams.
Communicate clearly with clinical and administrative staff to ensure coordinated and timely patient care.
Demonstrate self-sufficiency by managing tasks with minimal supervision and taking initiative to solve problems.
Maintain punctuality and reliability to support a fast-paced clinical schedule and consistent patient flow.
Essential Skills
Experience checking patient vital signs and documenting results accurately.
Ability to prepare and maintain examination rooms in a clinical setting.
Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient care and satisfaction.
Familiarity with basic medical terminology and the ability to use it appropriately in a healthcare environment.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and healthcare staff.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
