Sr. Accountant needed near McFarland!

Our Madison Robert Half team has partnered on an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant near McFarland. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role involves ensuring accurate financial transactions, assisting with research and analysis, and supporting month and year-end. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and a full understanding of the accounting process. Responsibilities:

Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, completing general ledger reconciliations, and coordinating across finance teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting

Perform account analysis and review financial statements, identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and improve reporting accuracy

Manage fixed asset accounting, including construction-in-progress oversight and support for international financial operations

Support external audits by preparing schedules, organizing documentation, and ensuring timely completion of audit requirements

Drive accounting process improvements, support budgeting and variance analysis, and serve as a key resource for ERP, reporting, and finance-related projects

Requirements

What You Bring to the Table:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

CPA preferred

3-5 years of general accounting experience, strong GAAP

Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical skills

Leadership capabilities and collaborative spirit

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, experience with SAP and Oracle a highlight
