Labor General Role Description

The Laborer is a skilled individual with great hand dexterity and a keen eye for detail. The Laborer is adept in operating equipment to unload/load deliveries to the jobsite. This position strives for continuous improvement with safety and quality while working in diverse settings to produce steady and functional infrastructure and products. The individual will also have a passion for continuous improvement, a strong sense of accountability and an ability to partner with the project team to optimize safety, quality, schedule, and profitability of the company.

This position has no direct reports.

General

Adhere to processes

Possess the drive to continuously improve

Represent Palace construction in a professional manner

Participate in company functions

Attend training programs as assigned

Operations:

Follow and adhere to procedures, practices, and policies of the department

Conduct repair work on various structures

Install drywall on metal or wood framing members

Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment

Maintain a clean jobsite and lead composite cleanup crews from subcontractors

Comply to local building codes, and health and safety regulations

Dig trenches and backfill holes

Perform painting as needed

Perform fire caulking as needed

Follow instructions from team members

Load and unload building materials

Clean the construction site by removing hazards, materials, and debris for the jobsite

Perform punch list items that meet a level of acceptance by own clients

Take apart or construct scaffolding, bracing, and other temporary structures

Assist craft workers such as Carpenters, Carpenter Helpers, and other labor as needed

Maintain BMPs as directed by the site Superintendent

Provide excellent customer service

Recognize constructions terms and distinguish between materials

Safety & Quality

Participate in safety meetings

Participate in the Stretch and Bend Program daily

Set the example for the company's safety compliance and procedures

Assist in maintaining OSHA compliance on jobsite

Assist in weekly jobsite safety meetings, both subcontractor and Palace

Recognize Safety violations and correct immediately
