Job Title: Entry Level Staff Accountant
Job Description
The Staff Accountant will perform core accounting functions, including bank reconciliations, recording journal entries, and analyzing financial statements to support accurate and timely financial reporting. This role also manages the issuance of certificates of insurance and tax exemption certifications while working within a large-scale ERP environment and using advanced Excel functions.
Responsibilities
Perform accurate and timely bank reconciliations and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
Record journal entries in accordance with established accounting policies and procedures.
Analyze financial statements to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Issue certificates of insurance and tax exemption certifications in a timely and compliant manner.
Maintain and update the general ledger to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data.
Use advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and SUMIFS, to organize, analyze, and report financial information.
Work within a large-scale ERP system to enter, review, and reconcile financial transactions.
Collaborate with team members and other departments to support month-end and year-end close activities.
Support process improvements and contribute to a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement in the accounting function.
Essential Skills
Experience reconciling balance sheet accounts.
Experience recording journal entries.
Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations.
Experience with financial statement analysis.
Ability to create and use pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and SUMIFS in Microsoft Excel.
Proficiency working within a large-scale ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, SAGE, Infor, or NetSuite.
Strong general ledger accounting knowledge.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with SAP is a strong plus.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is preferred overall and required for temp-to-perm opportunities; candidates without a degree may be considered for a temporary assignment.
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment
This position is onsite for the first 6 months, providing direct access to the accounting team and business operations. After the initial 6 months, the position follows a hybrid schedule with three days onsite and two days remote each week. The organization operates in a growing manufacturing environment that emphasizes strong company culture, team collaboration, and regular team events.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
