This position is responsible for analyzing and evaluating major administrative aspects of substantive, mission-oriented programs Responsibilities Develops a quality customer focused section whereby personnel establish and maintain good relations with Veterans, their families, visitors, and clinical and administrative employees Handles conflict and problems in dealing with the customer constructively and appropriately Develops and administers a formal, systematic performance improvement plan for reviewing, appraising, and improving. Functions as a technical expert on MAS topics Participates in various committees and boards to provide leadership strategic planning, resource management (financial), performance improvement, and coordination of medical center-wide activities Provides services, technical counsel, and planning necessary to meet clinical, procedural, legal, and administrative program requirements relating to the care and treatment of inpatients and outpatients Plays a major role in ensuring Veterans access to care and effective systems supporting clinical access Coordinates MAS activities with other services and units within the Health Care System, clinics, CBOCs, Office of Community Care, and local community partners Manages staffing, budgeting, procuring, and training for the Service. Facility liaison on medical administrative issues Responsible for full authority of fund control points Handles the recruitment of employees for a wide variety of technical and administrative disciplines.
