Accounts Payable Clerk

Location: Barnegat, NJ

Pay-rate: $24.00-$26.00 /hr.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM

Contract-to-permanent Opportunity!

Accounts Payable Clerk Job Duties:

Process payments and invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, resolve discrepancies, and address outstanding balances.

Monitor and manage outstanding accounts, proactively following up on overdue payments.

Resolve discrepancies and issues related to accounts payable/receivable, working collaboratively with internal teams and external parties.

Prepare reports for management, providing insights on aging balances and financial information.

Maintain organized filing systems for easy retrieval and compliance requirements.

Monitor and meet payment deadlines, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.

Respond to inquiries from vendors and customers regarding billing, payments, and account information.

Other related duties as assigned.

Accounts Payable Clerk Job Requirements:

High school diploma required; Business or Accounting degree preferred.

Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification is a plus.

Previous related experience preferred.

Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.

Must be able to learn other accounting software systems. Experience in Appfolio and Sage Intact is a plus.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
