We are currently seeking a SAP Finance Finance (FI/CO) modules consultant to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina (US-NC), United States (US).
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4 HANA Functional Consultant with deep expertise in Finance (FI/CO) modules and proven experience in upgrading from SAP ECC to SAP S/4 HANA. The ideal candidate will have participated in at least one full-cycle S/4 HANA upgrade project and possess extensive functional knowledge across S/4 HANA, specifically with the Project Systems module. This role will partner closely with Accounting and Project Management stakeholders to design and implement project costing, budgeting, and financial tracking capabilities for project-based business processes. Additionally, the role requires strong collaboration with Controllership, Finance, and technical teams to ensure seamless integration across upstream systems for accurate cost capture, enabling successful delivery of finance transformation initiatives.
Design, configure, and implement SAP S/4HANA Project systems solutions, including WBS structures, networks, budgeting, and settlement.
Collaborate with finance and project management teams to define project accounting processes and cost tracking models and translate business needs into functional specifications.
Enable integration of upstream systems to capture labor, material, and external costs into SAP Project Systems
Drive functional design, configuration, and testing for S/4 HANA Finance processes.
Prepare functional specifications, oversee development, and perform unit and integration testing.
Work closely with technical and finance teams to ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules and external systems.
Provide guidance on best practices for S/4 HANA Finance processes and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
Support data migration, validation, and reconciliation activities during upgrade.
Deliver training and documentation for end-users and stakeholders.
Participate in cutover planning and go-live support.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years' experience with SAP S/4HANA Project Systems and deep knowledge of:
Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), networks, activities, milestones
Project planning, scheduling, and execution
Cost planning, budgeting, and availability control
Settlement processes (AUC, internal orders, assets)
5+ years' experience in integrating upstream systems to capture project costs.
SAP S/4 HANA FI/CO functional knowledge and S/4 HANA upgrade experience
Experience with at least one full cycle ECC to S4 Hana upgrade project
Communicate effectively with team members, management, and product owners.
Comfort in working with business and technical partners alike, this role bridges that gap.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
Ability to direct and train other team associates.
Exceptional documentational skills with standard tools for data flows, like Visio, PowerPoint, etc.
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree
Experience with specific upstream integrations, such as Ariba, Clarity and Concur
Preferred experience in a banking/finance @context with knowledge of financial accounting concepts
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting hourly range for this remote role is ($75.00-$80.50/hour). This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
