The Colorado Community College System (CCCS) is hiring a Project Manager/Business Analyst (PM/BA) - HR & Payroll to join our System Office Business Technology team. This team manages the implementation of new software products licensed for systemwide use and manages projects to meet the business needs of the system and the colleges. In addition, Business Technology provides functional support and technical troubleshooting for end-users at the System Office and all 13 CCCS colleges. This role manages projects and project teams to facilitate the on-time delivery of project objectives and acts as a liaison between internal IT experts and our business partners in Human Resources and Payroll.
We are looking for someone with experience in managing complex projects who has a strong knowledge of HR and Payroll processes. Duties include:
Follow established project management guidelines and processes to develop, maintain, and track project plans, conduct project meetings, and report project status.
Provide system-level support and administration of Banner Human Resources, Position Control, and Employee Self-Service, as well as third-party vendor products on behalf of System and college business needs.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Ellucian Banner product/service line and related third-party vendor products, including the oversight and management of specific projects, staff, and deliverables.
Drive the collaboration with relevant IT departments either contributing to, or impacted by, current services and projects.
Collaborate with business users to develop business cases and comprehensive project requests. Work closely with college functional user groups such as Human Resources, Payroll Directors and FLAC Processors.
Represent System-IT on committees and functional groups that focus on Human Resources, Payroll, and FLAC (Faculty Load & Compensation).
Collaborate with System and College staff and leadership to identify and address business needs related to Human Resources, Payroll, and FLAC.
Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Relevant education and/or experience in the appropriate areas may substitute year-for-year for the required degree.
Two years of experience managing projects.
Hands-on work experience in Human Resources/Payroll.
Supplemental Information
Attributes that will contribute to success in this position:
Background working in a multi-college system or a large complex higher education organization preferred.
Practical knowledge of Ellucian Banner's Human Resources and Position Control modules preferred.
Practiced in the use of project management methodology and tools.
Ability to manage and lead large, diverse groups.
Ability to interact well with a diverse population of customers, vendors, and team members to understand and resolve functional or technical issues or concerns.
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with staff having varying levels of functional and technical expertise.

Work Location/Travel Expectations:
This position is located at CCCS/IT 1059 Alton Way, Denver, CO 80230.
Occasional in-state travel is required; may require out-of-state travel to conferences as needed.
Some evening and weekend support is required, as System IT supports a 24x7 environment.
Alternative Work Arrangements, including flexible schedules and hybrid-remote work, may be available. All work must be completed in the state of Colorado.
