The Electrical Project Manager leads a large, technically complex industrial and life sciences construction project with an electrical scope exceeding $30M. This role oversees the full project lifecycle from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring that safety, quality, schedule, and financial goals are consistently achieved. The position requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of electrical construction, and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and external partners in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of electrical project execution for a large, multi-million-dollar construction scope from preconstruction through closeout.
Manage the project budget, including cost forecasting, labor production tracking, and change management to maintain financial performance.
Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules in coordination with field leadership and trade partners.
Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and internal field teams to ensure scope alignment, productivity, and timely completion of work.
Drive project planning, procurement, and material release activities to support uninterrupted field operations.
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, quality requirements, and contract documents at all times.
Review, coordinate, and manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders to maintain project clarity and control.
Collaborate closely with Superintendents and field leadership to support field execution and proactively resolve issues.
Provide clear and regular reporting on project financials, schedule status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Lead project closeout activities, including punch list management, turnover documentation, and collection of lessons learned.
Support and enforce high standards of documentation, including drawings, specifications, and project records related to electrical systems.
Essential Skills
At least 5 years of experience managing electrical construction projects.
Strong background in commercial, industrial, or life sciences electrical systems.
Proven experience managing large project budgets and leading multidisciplinary teams.
Deep understanding of electrical construction means and methods.
Proficiency with construction management and project controls software.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contracts accurately.
Demonstrated experience with electrical construction in industrial environments.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Hands-on expertise in electrical construction and project management for large-scale scopes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with large-scale electrical construction projects, ideally with scopes of $10M or more.
background in industrial, advanced manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or life sciences facilities.
Experience working with complex power distribution, grounding, lighting, controls, and low-voltage systems.
Experience delivering projects with high safety, quality, and documentation standards.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Equivalent trade or field experience in electrical construction will be considered in lieu of a degree.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Holly Springs, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr.
