This role combines project management and change management to lead a multi-year Investment Book of Record (IBOR) transformation initiative across a complex front-to-middle office ecosystem. The Finance Project Manager partners closely with front office product teams and middle office functions to deliver new cloud-native and vendor-based solutions, ensuring stakeholder readiness, adoption, and a seamless transition from legacy systems. The position requires strong program leadership, deep understanding of investment operations, and the ability to coordinate across business, technology, and vendor stakeholders in a highly matrixed environment.
Responsibilities
Lead the execution of a multi-year IBOR transformation initiative from planning through implementation and stabilization.
Coordinate project activities across front office product teams and middle office functions to ensure aligned delivery and smooth integration.
Manage detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and risks in a highly matrixed environment.
Act as a primary liaison between business teams, technology groups, and external vendors, including SimCorp and internal cloud initiatives.
Drive structured program governance, including status reporting, issue escalation, and decision-making forums.
Conduct stakeholder impact assessments across global teams to understand and document changes to processes, systems, and roles.
Develop and execute change readiness plans for front and middle office users, ensuring they are prepared for new ways of working.
Design and implement communication strategies that keep stakeholders informed, engaged, and aligned throughout the transformation.
Develop and coordinate training and adoption strategies to support users in transitioning to new systems and processes.
Ensure a seamless transition from legacy systems to new cloud-native and vendor solutions, minimizing disruption to daily operations.
Provide subject matter input on middle office operations, including IBOR, reference data, and index data, to guide design and implementation decisions.
Support the integration of SimCorp Dimension as the IBOR platform and cloud-native solutions for reference and index data.
Partner with stakeholders to align business processes with new system capabilities, identifying opportunities to streamline and improve workflows.
Collaborate with data, technology, and operations teams to ensure data quality, reconciliation, and operational controls meet business requirements.
Lead enterprise-level system implementation or transformation workstreams, ensuring alignment with broader organizational strategies.
Engage with front office stakeholders and product teams to understand business needs and incorporate them into project and change plans.
Communicate effectively with global stakeholders, facilitating workshops, meetings, and status updates to maintain alignment and momentum.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree.
At least 7 years of experience in Project Management and/or Change Management.
At least 3 years of experience within investment operations or asset management environments, with experience gained since 2020 or more recent.
At least 3 years of experience with middle office operations, including IBOR, data, reconciliation, and related processes.
Proven experience leading enterprise system implementations or large-scale transformation initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with front office stakeholders and product teams.
Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience working with global teams.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences and manage expectations.
Hands-on project management experience, including planning, execution, risk management, and reporting.
Hands-on change management experience, including impact assessment, readiness planning, communication, training, and adoption.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with SimCorp Dimension as an IBOR platform.
Experience with similar investment platforms such as BlackRock Aladdin, Charles River IMS, SS&C Advent Geneva, Calypso, or Allvue.
Experience with cloud transformation initiatives in financial services or investment operations.
Prior work in data management, including reference data and index data environments.
Familiarity with front-to-middle office ecosystems within investment or asset management organizations.
Ability to operate effectively in a highly matrixed, global organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex operational needs into practical solutions.
Work Environment
The role is part of a multi-year middle office transformation program with a strong preference for a long-term engagement. The consultant reports into the program leadership for middle office transformation and is expected to work onsite three days per week in Malvern, with the remainder of time potentially remote depending on team practices. The environment features a modern, state-of-the-art facility that includes onsite amenities such as a gym and cafeteria. The organization emphasizes flexibility and understanding from the leadership team, fostering a supportive and collaborative culture. The program offers strong potential for engagement extension beyond the initial term, reflecting the long-term nature of the transformation. The position is structured as a consulting engagement with benefits that may include holiday pay for major holidays and accrual of paid time off based on hours worked, subject to the consulting arrangement. The work involves close collaboration with business, technology, and vendor teams, and exposure to leading investment technology platforms and cloud-native solutions in a professional, office-based setting.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95.00 - $110.00/hr.
