We have an outstanding Contract to Hire position for aManufacturing Technicianto join a leading Company located in theGoleta, CAsurrounding area.

Pay Rate: $30 - $32

Responsibilities :

Responsible for the assembly and testing of the production of products.

Ensures that assembly functions are completed in accordance with established safety, quality, and production standards, and documents the results.

Prepares related documentation, including test procedures, reports, and assembly history records.

Adheres to all company policies and procedures; maintains a safe working environment and participates in Safety, Health, and Environmental and Quality programs, trainings, and activities, including wearing required PPE.

Immediately reports any safety, quality, production, equipment, and tooling problems, as well as any needed maintenance, calibration, or expired material issues.

Follows and completes assembly history records to align, fit, and assemble product components using hand tools, power tools, and fixtures.

Follows and completes test procedures using test stands, instruments, and equipment for products.

Ensure compliance by reading and interpreting drawings, parts lists, specifications, assembly history records, and test procedures to inspect, assemble, and test products and subassemblies.

Utilizes Lean Manufacturing to execute the production schedule and maintain a safe and clean work area.

Identifies and assists with the implementation of improvements to safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency, including: assembly history records, test procedures, equipment, and build sequence.

Assists with building and setting up new workcells and test setups using specialized equipment.

Performs failure evaluation, repairs, and rework on product assemblies in accordance with standard procedures to meet operational specifications and tolerances.

Performs troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on various production equipment.

Provides training to other Manufacturing Technicians.

Basic Hiring Criteria :

Minimum 3 - 6 years of experience with mechanical and/or electronics assembly, or equivalent.

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Basic math skills are required, and the candidate must be able to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions.

Has knowledge of basic mathematics and is able to measure accurately .

Able to learn/follow basic assembly and test procedures, use of assembly and testing equipment, as well as other machinery and tools.

Able to learn Oracle, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.

Diligence in completing paperwork to maintain traceability.

Able to multitask several job duties and assignments.

Ability to read drawings, schematics, diagrams, and technical specifications.

Knowledge of assembling and/or testing various mechanical and electrical equipment.

Experience in production assembly, manufacturing, and test environments.

Experience in troubleshooting, identifying, and assisting with continuous improvement.

Experience handling electrostatic discharge (ESD) sensitive items and flight hardware handling.

Knowledge of Foreign Object Debris/Damage (FOD).

Able to work overtime, weekends, and evenings as needed.

Desired Qualifications :

Knowledge of soldering, including J-STD 001 current/expired certification.

Knowledge of hydraulics and /or gear and gerotor pumps.

Knowledge of Environmental Stress Screening Equipment (ESS): Vibe Table, thermal cycle, etc.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
