What You Will Be Doing:
The purpose of this position is to direct and manage the activities related to sales of the Commercial Engine Product Support Department in our southern territory (Augusta, Macon, Columbus). This position is responsible for achievement of annual business plan, including P&L, the growth of our Commercial Engine Product Support business, fostering a culture of safe working and driving habits among employees, and achieving high employee and customer satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develops, and maintains a strategic business plan advancing the company's mission, objectives and increasing revenue, profitability and growth.
Responsible for the development and achievement of the annual business plan for the Commercial Service Department, including P&L, capital expenditures, growth and other operational goals and objectives.
Represent Yancey at Industry Trade shows, functions and customer events.
Provide coaching, sales targets, customer assignment and other sales management activities to PSSR's.
Responsible for leading territory coverage strategy and managing appropriate remote personnel.
Ensures sales data is input by the team regularly and reviews activity within the CRM tool.
Ensures leads, opportunities and activity is progressing through the sales funnel by the sales team.
Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and targets, and ensure achievement or progress toward achievement of KPI's with work groups on a regular business.
Consistently achieve or exceed "World Class" Customer Loyalty scores.
Regularly reviews the company financial statements determining business progress and status in obtaining financial objectives and may revise these objectives and plans in accordance with current business conditions.
Insures a monthly financial and business report including detailed product line and sales information is prepared and presented to Board for review, guidance, and approval
Collaborate with Yancey Power Systems Operations Team in delivering agreed upon targets.
Additional Responsibilities:
Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
Additional duties as assigned by manager.
Who We Are Looking For:
To be successful in this position you should have a proven sales record along with successes leading and developing a team. You should possess a strong sense of urgency and desire to provide superior customer service. The ability to provide direction and instruction and work in a team environment is essential to this position as well.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree is desired or appropriate industry experience would be applicable.
3 to 5 years of experience in Sales and/or Sales Management.
At least 10 years of industry-specific experience with increasing levels of responsibility with revenue and profit generation being a minimum requirement.
Experience managing a team and/or work groups.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
Aptitude for leadership and achieving goals through a team effort.
Computer skills to include Internet Explorer, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint.
Must be able to comprehend, speak, and write the English language.
Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both in person, over the telephone, and via written communications.
Must be team oriented with good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure to meet multiple deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
Superior communication skills.
Technical understanding of engines and power systems products, and the ability to interpret and present technical and operation information in a clear and easy to understand manner.
Desire to hold others and to be held accountable for delivering results - ownership of business.
Analytical skills - with an eye for process improvement.
Understanding of basic accounting and ability to use accounting and non-financial data to develop KPI's.
Skilled in understanding and delivering high customer satisfaction.
