Job Title: Warehouse Associate - Weekend Shift
Job Description
The Warehouse Associate on the weekend shift safely operates forklifts and yard tractors to load, unload, and move products within a refrigerated facility. This role ensures all inbound and outbound shipments are accurate, damage-free, and shipped on time in accordance with company procedures and FIFO inventory practices. The position plays a key part in maintaining efficient warehouse operations by preparing orders, completing documentation, and supporting a safe, organized work environment.
Responsibilities
Safely and frequently operate forklifts and yard tractors to move, load, and unload products and materials.
Load and offload trailers while ensuring products are handled carefully and efficiently.
Accurately ship products to affiliated facilities and directly to customers according to shipping schedules.
Ensure all sales orders meet deadlines and are shipped on time in line with company standards.
Verify that inbound and outbound shipments are accurate, free of damage, and compliant with company procedures.
Utilize the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) system for finished goods, packaging, and raw materials to maintain proper inventory rotation.
Take and record product temperature checks as required to maintain product quality and safety.
Ensure all shipping and receiving documents are accurate, complete, and properly maintained.
Perform trailer inspections for each inbound and outbound load to ensure safety and compliance.
Conduct safety checks such as chocking trailer tires and installing trailer jacks before loading or unloading.
Communicate professionally with drivers and ensure all required documents are signed and dated appropriately.
Wrap all products, place them in racking, and provide accurate location information to the data entry clerk.
Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and @type of product is picked, loaded, and shipped.
Move products to appropriate storage locations, stacking and storing them efficiently and safely.
Wrap orders on pallets for shipment and stage truckloads of pallets being shipped to customers.
Label pallets accurately with pallet tags, verifying product lot codes and quantities.
Complete all required paperwork for every inbound and outbound load in a timely and accurate manner.
Follow all safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines while working in a refrigerated environment.
Essential Skills
2+ years of forklift operating experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
2+ years of material handling experience, including loading and unloading trailers and moving products within a facility.
Proficiency in operating forklifts and yard tractors safely and efficiently.
Experience with inventory handling and shipping/receiving processes.
Ability to follow and apply FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory methods for finished goods, packaging, and raw materials.
Ability to work comfortably and consistently in a refrigerated environment.
Strong attention to detail to ensure shipment accuracy, correct labeling, and proper documentation.
Ability to complete shipping and receiving paperwork accurately and legibly.
Effective communication skills to interact with drivers and internal team members.
Commitment to safety practices, including conducting trailer inspections and safety checks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in a warehouse or production environment.
Experience performing product temperature checks and documenting results.
Ability to organize and stage pallets efficiently for outbound shipments.
Comfort working a weekend schedule with extended shifts.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple shipments and tasks simultaneously.

Work Environment
This role is based in a refrigerated warehouse environment, where maintaining cold temperatures is essential for product quality. The position follows a weekend shift schedule of Friday through Sunday, 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Team members follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), which include wearing hair nets, beard nets as applicable, smocks, steel-toe footwear, and hard hats while on the floor. Work involves regular operation of forklifts and yard tractors, frequent movement of pallets and materials, and adherence to safety procedures for trailers and equipment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
