Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician II, you will leverage your expertise to support the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the facility. You will have the chance to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.

Responsibilities

Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment such as conveyors.

Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.

Perform battery changes and preventive maintenance on batteries.

Enter downtime data in daily logs and complete preventative maintenance sheets.

Manage work orders within a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

Have a foundational understanding of electrical components.

Troubleshoot and identify problems with equipment.

Track and store department inventory, including spare parts.

Essential Skills

Experience in industrial maintenance, equipment maintenance, and robotics.

Experience with conveyor systems and materials handling.

Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.

Experience with automated conveyor systems.

Competence in completing preventative maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, schematics, and motors.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

2+ years of experience in repairing material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems and controls.

2+ years of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics.

Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles with at least 2 years of experience.

Experience following and demonstrating safety standards for over 2 years.

1+ year experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment systems.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and applications for at least 1 year.

Work Environment

You will work in a large distribution facility equipped with high-speed automation and primarily robotic components. You should be comfortable with performance metrics being tracked by data and numbers. The role involves walking up to 10,000 steps daily and lifting up to 49 lbs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tallahassee, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.50 - $32.50/hr.
