Job Title: Electrical Wire Harness Assembler
Job Description
This role focuses on assembling, reworking, and testing electrical wire harnesses for aircraft components by following detailed work orders, diagrams, and wire lists. You will use your electrical knowledge and hands-on skills to ensure each harness meets quality, safety, and performance standards while accurately completing all related documentation.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret work orders, diagrams, form boards, and wire lists to determine required materials, tools, and the sequence of assembly.
Assemble and rework wire harnesses for aircraft components according to specifications and quality standards.
Rework connectors, back shells, wire terminations, splices, split rings, lugs, and other components built into a wire harness.
Wrap and tie wires neatly and securely to maintain organization and compliance with engineering requirements.
Route wires through harness assemblies, ensuring proper alignment, support, and protection from damage.
Change routing and breakouts as required by updated instructions, engineering changes, or rework orders.
Perform electrical tests on wire harnesses to verify functionality, continuity, and compliance with specifications.
Identify and troubleshoot issues found during assembly or testing and perform appropriate repairs or adjustments.
Complete all associated paperwork accurately, including production records, test results, and any rework documentation.
Follow safety procedures, maintain a clean and organized work area, and use tools and equipment properly.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and quality goals.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of aircraft electrical experience, specifically working with wire harnesses or related components.
Hands-on experience with wire harness assembly and wire harness rework.
Ability to read and interpret work orders, diagrams, form boards, and wire lists.
Proficiency in reworking connectors, back shells, wire terminations, splices, split rings, lugs, and similar components.
Skill in wrapping and tying wires to meet quality and safety standards.
Experience routing wires and adjusting routing and breakouts as required.
Ability to perform electrical tests on wire harnesses to verify functionality and compliance.
Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for electrical and wiring issues.
Attention to detail and accuracy when following instructions and completing documentation.
Ability to work both 1st and 3rd shift schedules as required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience working with aircraft components in a production or maintenance environment.
Familiarity with form boards and other tools used for wire harness layout and assembly.
Comfort working with detailed technical documentation and making adjustments based on engineering changes.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks within a production schedule.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team of technicians and assemblers.

Work Environment
You will work as part of a team of approximately 15-20 employees in a production environment focused on electrical wire harness assembly for aircraft components. The role requires availability for both 1st and 3rd shift schedules. Third shift hours run Monday through Thursday from 9:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. (starting Sunday night) and Friday from 9:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. The workplace emphasizes safety, adherence to procedures, and consistent production output. Dress code consists of jeans, a work shirt, and closed-toe shoes suitable for a hands-on, shop-floor setting.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
