Job Description
The 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician performs industrial mechanical maintenance on molding equipment and production machinery during the midnight to 8:00 a.m. shift. This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and hydraulic systems, with minor electrical work, to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production operations in a clean, medical-industry environment.
Responsibilities
Perform industrial mechanical maintenance on molding equipment and production machinery, with a strong focus on reliability and uptime.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on production equipment, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.
Maintain and service hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and motors, to ensure consistent and safe operation.
Conduct preventative maintenance on mold presses and related equipment, following established schedules and procedures.
Perform corrective maintenance on mold presses and associated machinery when issues arise, minimizing downtime.
Execute basic electrical troubleshooting and repair, including work on sensors, wiring, and minor controls.
Diagnose mechanical failures using tools, blueprints, and technical documentation, and carry out appropriate repairs.
Support maintenance of valves, motors, hydraulics, and pneumatics as part of overall equipment care.
Assist with welding and repair tasks as needed to restore or improve equipment functionality.
Interpret and work from blueprints and technical drawings to guide maintenance and repair activities.
Collaborate with production and other maintenance team members to prioritize work and maintain safe, efficient operations on the 3rd shift.
Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage in accordance with company procedures.
Essential Skills
At least 5+ years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing or molding environment.
Proven experience performing mechanical maintenance on production and molding equipment.
Strong machine troubleshooting and repair skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve mechanical issues.
Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and motors.
Ability to perform minor electrical maintenance, including work on sensors, wiring, and basic control components.
Familiarity with mold presses, valves, motors, hydraulics, and pneumatics in a production setting.
Capability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation.
Mechanical aptitude for diagnosing mechanical failures and implementing effective repair solutions.
Willingness and ability to work 3rd shift (midnight to 8:00 a.m.).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Mold press experience is a significant plus.
Mill repair experience is a plus.
Experience with welding and repair work in an industrial environment.
Exposure to electrical troubleshooting and basic controls work in a manufacturing setting.
Experience working with tooling and mold machines.
Comfort working with three-phase equipment and industrial power systems.
exp in medical or clean manufacturing environments is beneficial.

The work environment is very safe and clean, with a respirator required in designated clean room areas. The role operates on the 3rd shift (midnight to 8:00 a.m.), and a shift differential applies for 2nd and 3rd shifts. The culture is laid back and family friendly, with structured 90-day, 6-month, and 1-year evaluations that provide formal opportunities for performance review and raises. You will work around molding equipment, mold presses, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and related production machinery in a professional industrial setting
