Summary You will serve as a EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST (CRANES) in the ACQUISITION QA Division of NCC. Responsibilities You will serves as the senior Navy Crane center on-site technical expert for special purpose service weight handling equipment policy interpretation. You will provide expert consultation services to naval Shipyards and other Naval shore activities. You will serve as the senior Navy Crane Center on-site technical expert tor SPS and long shoring weight handling equipment (WHE) policy interpretation. You will provide expert advice and authoritative conclusions on complex and significant weight handling equipment problems, and operational frequently impacting Navy weight handling equipment policy and operations. You will consult with counterparts and other experts in the field of WHE to resolve the most difficult and complex problems. You will develop, coordinates and administers special training as needed for assigned NCCR(s); ensures that all mandatory training requirements are accomplished in a timely manner. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Making recommendations to complex and evolving problems surrounding weight handling equipment; 2) Providing technical expert advice and coordination to crane center representatives; 3) Interpreting blueprints, drawings and manufacturers' manuals as well as schematic instructions; 4) Collecting and analyzing shipyard crane maintenance data for trends; and 5) Conducting crane quality assurance for new crane procurement, overhaul, and retrofit contracts.
