THE POSITION
The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is seeking a dedicated Seasonal Custodial Worker 1 to help keep park facilities clean and welcoming for visitors. This role offers a chance to work outdoors and indoors while building practical custodial skills. You will be part of a team that supports safe and enjoyable park experiences. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position supports the cleanliness and upkeep of park facilities for both employees and visitors. As a Seasonal Custodial Worker 1, you will perform the following duties:
Facility Cleaning: Clean floors, walls, restrooms, windows, furniture, and fixtures using proper methods
Trash Removal: Collect and dispose of waste, recyclables, and debris from assigned areas
Outdoor Upkeep: Clear walkways, remove snow, pick up litter, and maintain building entrances
Supply Management: Store cleaning supplies correctly and report needed items to a supervisor
Equipment Handling: Use cleaning tools and equipment safely and return items to proper locations
Repair Reporting: Report maintenance needs and damaged areas to a supervisor

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits. The season runs from approximately May 2026 until October 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment May 2027.
Work days/shifts will vary, will work 5 days/37.5 hours per week to include holidays and weekends.
