Description

Robert Half is working with a growing construction company who is looking for a Project Accountant in the Hickory, NC area. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance. If you have a background in project and construction accounting, this is an excellent opportunity to bring your expertise to a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

Oversee financial operations for construction projects, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.

Prepare and review project budgets, forecasts, and financial statements.

Monitor project expenses and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.

Collaborate with project managers to analyze financial performance and address variances.

Handle invoicing, billing, and payment processes for assigned projects.

Maintain accurate records and documentation to support audits and reviews.

Ensure compliance with all accounting regulations and company policies.

Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries for stakeholders.

Conduct regular reviews of project financials to identify potential risks or issues.

Requirements

Proven experience in project accounting, preferably within the construction industry.

Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles and practices.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

Effective communication skills for collaborating with teams and stakeholders.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
