Bosch Building Technologies Integrator Business
The regional system integration business called Bosch Building Technologies offers solutions and customized services for building security, energy efficiency, and building automation for commercial buildings and infrastructure projects Bosch started its Integrator Business in North America through the acquisition of Climatec in 2015. Climatec expanded Bosch's role as a comprehensive supplier of energy, building automation and security solutions. Climatec is recognized in the building industry as an independent single-source integrator of critical building systems including energy services, building automation and security & life safety in the U.S. market. The company provides consulting, planning, implementation and 24/7 remote management. Job Title: Vice President, State, Local, and Education (SLED)
Job Summary:
The Vice President, SLED will be responsible for building, formalizing, and scaling a national State, Local, and Education vertical market strategy. This leader will establish a repeatable operating model that enables profitable organic growth across Education, State and Local Government, Public Utilities, Transportation, Aviation, Ports, Tribal entities, and related public-sector markets.
This role will serve as a national vertical leader and field force multiplier, partnering closely with regional sales, engineering, operations, service, and executive leadership to increase win rates, expand margins, strengthen customer relationships, and position the company as a trusted long-term partner to public-sector clients.
The ideal candidate brings deep SLED / public-sector experience, executive-level credibility with public-sector buyers, a strong understanding of complex multi-site customer environments, and a proven ability to build scalable go-to-market programs from the field up.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development and national execution of the SLED/Public Sector vertical strategy.
Build a nationally scalable vertical program focused on Education, State and Local Government, Public Utilities, Transportation, Aviation, Ports, Tribal entities, and other taxpayer-funded markets.
Create a consistent and repeatable vertical operating model that can be adopted across regions.
Serve as the executive sponsor and subject-matter expert for the SLED / Public Sector market.
Partner with regional sales leadership while ensuring the field retains customer ownership.
Act as a force multiplier for local sales teams by providing strategy, enablement, expertise, pursuit support, and executive engagement.
Focus on protecting and growing existing customer relationships before scaling into new strategic opportunities.
Support multi-site and enterprise public-sector customers with advisory, relationship-based selling rather than transactional selling.
Drive disciplined use of vertical-specific tools, messaging, playbooks, and sales motions.
Drive profitable organic growth across SLED and public-sector accounts.
Increase bookings, margin, win rate, customer retention, and field adoption of the vertical model.
Identify and prioritize large K-12 school districts, university and college systems, state agencies and authorities, county and city governments, transit agencies, aviation, ports, public utilities, and Tribal entities.
Engage directly in strategic opportunities to improve customer positioning and close rates.
Build long-term lifecycle revenue opportunities through modernization, sustainment, service, and enterprise-level solutions.
Equip regional sales teams with the knowledge, tools, messaging, and market insight needed to succeed in SLED.
Partner early and often with local field leadership to align strategy with local execution.
Coordinate across sales, engineering, operations, service, marketing, legal, and finance to support complex public-sector opportunities.
Develop training, pursuit frameworks, qualification criteria, and customer engagement models specific to SLED.
Help teams navigate public-sector purchasing vehicles, including CMAS, NASPO / NASBO-style cooperative vehicles, Sourcewell, statewide master contracts, education purchasing cooperatives, and other government procurement channels.
Position the company as a trusted advisor to public-sector clients with long-term safety, compliance, modernization, and infrastructure needs.
Build executive-level relationships with key public-sector stakeholders.
Translate market drivers such as safety mandates, compliance requirements, aging infrastructure, modernization needs, and sustainment requirements into actionable sales strategies.
Representing the company at conferences, and networking opportunities to strengthen brand positioning.

Required Qualifications:
Progressive experience in a technical sales environment, ideally from the integrated security, networking/data cabling and/or commercial audio-visual industries
12+ years of experience selling complex integrated solutions involving access control, CCTV, intrusion systems, structured cabling, RTLS, nurse call, PA systems, fence detection, digital signage, corporate AV, or other related systems
Experience selling into Education, State and Local Government, Public Utilities, Transportation, Aviation, Ports, Tribal entities, and other taxpayer-funded markets.
Knowledge of the following technologies: IP networks, low voltage electronics, power and communications, Windows XP or 7 workstations, Microsoft Office products
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience of selling in related industries (IT, Telecommunications, engineering, technology)
Experience with the following technologies; Client-Servicer security applications, MS SQL databases, Server and Storage Infrastructure.
Post-secondary education; University degree in Business
Working knowledge of Microsoft D365

Additional Information:
Compensation: $185,000 - $200,000 + Commission (DOE)
Working Hours: This position generally works Monday- Friday, overtime and on call when necessary
Travel Requirements: Overnight travel may be required, 30-40%
