Electrical / ITS TechnicianOverview
We are seeking a hands-on Electrical / ITS Technician with strong electrical and construction experience to support maintenance and project work across roadway, bridge, and construction environments. This role is ideal for someone with a solid electrical background who is interested in expanding into Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and related technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong electrical and construction experience (required)
Experience with:
Cable pulling and installation of electrical equipment
Working in roadway environments, under bridges, and within active construction zones
Repairing, installing, replacing, and testing electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances
Using appropriate hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing instruments
Ability to:
Install and monitor installed electrical equipment for hazards, required adjustments, or replacements
Troubleshoot and repair primary distribution system malfunctions (including ground fault tracing and cable replacement)
Read and interpret electrical panel schedules, schematics, and plan sets
Comfortable working outdoors and in physically demanding conditions
Nice to Have / Secondary Skills
Troubleshooting experience with low-voltage systems
CCTV systems
Access control systems
Hardware and field service experience
Networking or basic networking concepts
Fiber optic installation or termination experience
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with field personnel to ensure proper cable pulling and electrical installations
Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment
Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective actions as required
Monitor system performance to identify potential safety hazards or equipment issues
Promote proper care and maintenance of tools, equipment, and supplies
Follow and support workplace safety and environmental best practices
Learn and develop new technical skills related to ITS and infrastructure systems
Work Environment
Majority of work is performed outdoors, often in extreme heat conditions
Work may occur along active roadways and in potentially hazardous environments
Early mornings and late days may be required depending on project needs
Must be comfortable working in high-traffic and construction settings

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
