Job Title: Bucket Truck Driver
Job Description
This role focuses on safely operating a bucket truck to perform commercial lighting repairs and sign-related work for exterior, interior, and parking lot environments. You will troubleshoot and repair lighting systems, install basic electrical equipment, and support signage repair and installation while adhering to all applicable codes and industry standards.
Responsibilities
Drive and operate a bucket truck and other aerial equipment safely and efficiently to access elevated work areas.
Perform commercial lighting repairs for parking lots, exterior building lighting, and interior lighting systems.
Repair signage lighting systems and components, including LED, neon, and fluorescent systems, or learn to work with these technologies.
Assist with signage installation projects and support the installation team as needed.
Troubleshoot lighting control systems and components, including time clocks, contactors, and relays, to identify and resolve issues.
Install basic electrical equipment and systems in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, electrical codes, and industry standards.
Inspect work areas, tools, and equipment to ensure safe operation and compliance with safety procedures.
Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship.
Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors regarding project status, issues, and required materials.
Essential Skills
Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake endorsement, or strong willingness to obtain the endorsement immediately.
Proven experience operating a bucket truck and other aerial equipment.
Commercial electrical and lighting experience, including working on exterior, interior, and parking lot lighting systems.
Ability to troubleshoot lighting control systems and components such as time clocks, contactors, and relays.
Capability to install basic electrical equipment and systems in compliance with plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.
High school diploma or GED.
Safe and proficient truck driving skills, including maneuvering and positioning a bucket truck in various environments.
Comfort working at heights using bucket trucks, boom lifts, and other aerial platforms.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in the sign trade, including sign repair and installation, is a plus.
Ability or strong willingness to learn to work on LED, neon, and fluorescent systems typical to signage lighting.
Previous experience with signage installation projects is beneficial.
Familiarity with boom lifts and other aerial equipment beyond bucket trucks.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a field team.

Work Environment
This position primarily involves working outdoors for the majority of the time, often at elevated heights using bucket trucks, boom lifts, and other aerial equipment. You will work in various weather conditions while performing commercial lighting and signage tasks in parking lots, building exteriors, and other outdoor environments, with some interior work as needed. The role follows union work practices and standards and may require appropriate workwear suitable for outdoor, hands-on electrical and mechanical tasks.

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $79040.00/yr.
