Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist - Full-Time Engagement Professionals

Location: San Mateo County & Palo Alto Market, CA

Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Full-Time Engagement Professionals (FTEP) practice supporting clients throughout San Mateo County and the Palo Alto area. This full-time opportunity offers the stability of permanent employment while providing exposure to a variety of industries, systems, and accounting environments.

The ideal candidate will have experience processing high-volume invoices, vendor management, reconciliations, and supporting month-end close activities.

Responsibilities

Process and code invoices accurately and in a timely manner

Manage vendor relationships and respond to payment inquiries

Prepare and process check runs, ACH, and wire payments

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies

Assist with month-end close and accruals related to accounts payable

Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies

Support expense report processing and approval workflows

Collaborate with accounting teams on special projects and process improvements

Requirements

Qualifications

2+ years of accounts payable experience preferred

Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

Strong communication and customer service skills

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
