Day-to-Day Duties:

Answer telephones and greet the public in a professional manner and interact well with external (public) and internal (coworkers) customers.

Need to be courteous, professional and helpful

Take messages and inform other employees of visitor's arrival

Gather data from and provide information to the external (public) and internal (coworkers) customers

Handle and resolve complaints, ensuring customers' questions are answered and keeping a record of all transactions and communications

Provide information in response to inquiries about products and services

File, store and retrieve various kinds of office information for use by staff members

Contribute to the security of an organization by helping to monitor the access of visitors

Head Teller

Balance vault (daily)

Balance ATM (daily)

Order and buy money through the ACH / Wire Coordinator Ship money (weekly) Buy mutilated money from tellers (every two weeks) Prepare work for courier at close of each day for next-day pick-up Collect Non-Sufficient Fund (NSF) checks and reconcile account (daily) Provide reconciled NSF Account Report to bookkeeping clerk in Finance Department (end of month) Order loan, official and cashier checks Sell and process official checks Any other duties that would be assigned by the bank in the future

Qualifications, skills and abilities:

Training is primarily on-the-job; supervisors may continue to closely monitor new employees after their initial training session is complete.

Tellers have excellent communication skills, enjoy working with the public and possess a strong math aptitude.

Tellers must be comfortable handling large amounts of cash and working with computers. Prefer applications with sales and cash handling experience.

Accuracy and attention to detail in record keeping and short-term memory are vital.

Tellers should be courteous, attentive and patient in dealing with the public because customers often judge a bank by the way they are treated at the teller window.

Tellers are required to become familiar with company policies, including the expected level of customer service.
