Description

We are looking for a dependable 2nd shift Receptionist to support the front desk operations of a nonprofit residential setting in Cincinnati, Ohio. This Contract position serves as a key point of contact for residents, guests, staff, and community partners while helping maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate brings strong reception skills, sound judgment, and the ability to respond calmly and effectively in routine and urgent situations.

Responsibilities:

Greet residents, visitors, and employees in a courteous manner and create a positive first impression at the front desk.

Guide guests to the correct destination and notify appropriate staff when someone has arrived for a meeting or visit.

Observe and track building entry and exit activity, escalating concerns to program leadership when situations appear unusual or unsafe.

Coordinate promptly with emergency responders, including fire and police personnel, when urgent situations arise.

Provide support during evacuations, drills, and other safety-related procedures to help protect residents and staff.

Complete assigned administrative tasks such as basic clerical support, record updates, and front desk documentation.

Respond to questions about residency services by following established guidelines and directing inquiries appropriately.

Requirements

Prior experience in receptionist, front desk, or administrative support work is required.

Comfortable monitoring facility access and supporting a secure environment.

Basic clerical and organizational skills, including the ability to manage routine documentation.

Employment is contingent upon completion of pre-employment screening before starting work.

Must provide proof of a recent screening required for all candidates.

Experience in healthcare administration or a nonprofit service environment is preferred
