Job Title: 1st Shift Electro-Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
The 1st Shift Electro-Mechanical Assembler plays a key role in building high-quality electro-mechanical products by interpreting work orders, schematics, and blueprints, and performing precise electrical and mechanical assembly. This position works on a steady first-shift schedule and uses a variety of hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and electronic test instruments to assemble, inspect, and support production activities in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Assemble electro-mechanical products by reading and interpreting work orders, schematics, and blueprints.
Perform electrical wiring using appropriate wiring tools, ensuring accurate connections and adherence to specifications.
Carry out mechanical assembly tasks, including fitting, fastening, and securing components according to engineering documentation.
Use hand and power tools such as wrenches, drills, and other assembly tools safely and efficiently.
Operate soldering equipment and perform soldering on electrical and electronic components to required quality standards.
Utilize electronic test equipment to verify functionality and quality of assembled products.
Assist in preparing estimates and compiling information for electro-mechanical assemblies for submission to contract manufacturing leadership.
Support manufacturing engineers by helping locate and source component parts as needed for production.
Provide manufacturing engineering support to production teams, helping troubleshoot and resolve assembly-related issues.
Assist in coordinating electro-mechanical assembly production activities to meet schedules and quality requirements.
Perform quality checks and inspections on finished products, ensuring they meet specifications and quality standards.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Lift and move materials and assemblies weighing up to fifty pounds as part of daily tasks.
Essential Skills
At least 5 years of electrical wiring experience or an electrical engineering or similar degree.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
At least 3 years of experience reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints.
A minimum of 5 years of mechanical experience, including regular use of hand and power tools.
At least 3 years of experience performing quality checks on finished products in previous roles.
Proficiency in electrical wiring using wiring tools.
Strong mechanical assembly skills.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and blueprints.
Experience with electrical and electronic assembly processes.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Capability to lift up to fifty pounds as required for assembly tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience using soldering equipment and performing soldering on electrical and electronic components.
Familiarity with wire harness assembly equipment.
Experience using electronic test equipment for verification and troubleshooting.

Ability to collaborate effectively with manufacturing engineers and production teams.

Work Environment

The position operates on a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Daily work involves using solder guns, wire harness assembly equipment, electronic test equipment, wrenches, drills, and other hand and power tools in a precision metal fabrication setting that supports industries such as HVAC, roofing, and windows.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
