Job Description:
This job is responsible for managing clients and related credit products, partnering closely with relationship management, sales/trading, treasury management, operations and risk teams to support the client relationship. Key responsibilities include underwriting, monitoring, managing operational needs and/or client requests. Job expectations include credit-focused client management responsibilities, independent thought leadership, strong leadership skills, the ability to provide feedback to less experienced teammates and may also manage a team.
More specifically, this job is responsible for managing, monitoring, and documenting credit risk for an asset based (ABL) portfolio of clients. Key responsibilities include monitoring changes in credit profiles, compliance with credit agreements as well as structuring and underwriting new financing solutions across the Global Banking and Markets product spectrum. Job expectations may include assessing risk solutions which adhere to the bank's risk appetite and risk strategies and coaching and leading team members.

Responsibilities:
Partners with relationship management and product partners to assess clients' credit needs and create solutions
Drives credit and risk approval processes for new credit originations, renewals, increases, and modifications
Leads ongoing monitoring efforts for a portfolio of clients in compliance with regulations, policy and procedure
Drives the growth of funded loans and revenue while mitigating risks, maintaining asset quality and adhering to regulatory requirements
Serves as an escalation point for complex credit transactions
Mentors and supports associates
Oversee credit assessment and approvalby evaluating borrower creditworthiness through financial analysis, forecasting, industry and company risk assessment, and due diligence to support high-quality decisions across Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets, and Treasury
Exercises Delegated Approval Authorityto structure and approve transactions, including lending limits, deal terms, risk ratings, renewals, and breach actions, applying sound judgment and maintaining alignment with the bank's risk appetite
Leads credit origination and portfolio managementby partnering with cross-functional teams, serving as a senior advisor on credit matters, and ensuring accurate risk ratings and proactive management of asset quality throughout the client lifecycle
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in asset based and/or commercial lending
Experience in monitoring the credit health of asset based or commercial lending clients.
Strong knowledge and comprehension of loan and collateral documentation
Ability to accurately analyze borrower's financial picture and deliver a comprehensive risk analysis to manager and risk officers
Confidence and ability to develop an independent viewpoint and present a business case to support conclusions
Excellent relationship management skills, experience working in a team environment, ability to help influence constituencies with diverse views towards consensus
Coaching and mentoring skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance
10+ years of experience in asset-based lending and/or commercial lending
