Job Purpose:

Under general supervision, provides attentive, refined, and courteous food and beverage service to guests in a hotel or corporate dining environment. Creates a welcoming atmosphere through warm, knowledgeable service that reflects the organization's commitment to quality, comfort, and guest satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Welcome every guest with genuine hospitality, professionalism, and a positive demeanor

Take and process food and beverage orders accurately, ensuring timely and seamless service delivery

Offer thoughtful guidance on menu selections and respond to guest questions with confidence and care

Prepare, present, and serve food and beverages in accordance with brand standards and service guidelines

Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting dining and service area at all times

Set up, break down, and rearrange dining spaces as needed to accommodate business functions, meetings, or larger guest groups

Deliver consistent, polished service and professionally resolve guest concerns to enhance satisfaction

Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation regulations in compliance with Health Department and company requirements

Promote a safe working environment by following established safety programs and job safety analyses

Monitor and enforce sanitation and safety standards for all team members and authorized personnel entering food service areas

Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Qualifications and Requirements:

High School diploma /Secondary qualification or equivalent.

Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt processes and standards.

This job requires the ability to perform the following:

All associates must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Company Standards

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings are required.

Upon employment, all associates are required to fully comply with the Company's rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the hotel facilities. Associates who violate hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment

Being passionate about people and service.

Strong communication skills are essential when interacting with guests and employees.

Reading and writing abilities are used often when completing paperwork, logging issues/complaints/requests/ information updates, etc.

Basic math skills are used frequently when handling cash or credit.

Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, and training abilities are often used.

Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays
