We are looking for an experienced and organized Medical Receptionist to support a busy healthcare practice in Towson, Maryland. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a patient-facing healthcare environment and can create a welcoming, detail-oriented first impression. The right candidate will balance front desk coordination with strong communication and multitasking skills to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

Welcome patients and visitors courteously, providing a positive and efficient front desk experience from arrival through departure.

Coordinate appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and calendar updates while helping maintain an orderly patient flow throughout the day.

Manage patient check-in processes, confirm demographic and insurance details, and ensure required information is accurately entered.

Answer incoming calls, respond to routine questions, and direct messages or inquiries to the appropriate clinical or administrative staff.

Support general medical front office operations by handling paperwork, filing, and other administrative tasks as needed.

Communicate clearly with patients regarding visit logistics, office procedures, and next steps to help reduce confusion and delays.

Work closely with the practice administrator and internal team members to maintain efficient daily office coverage.

Assist with additional administrative duties or workflow-related tasks that support the needs of the practice.

Requirements - Previous experience in a medical receptionist, medical front office, or similar healthcare support role.

Hands-on background with patient scheduling and patient check-in procedures in a clinical setting.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment while managing multiple priorities at once.

Detail-oriented presentation and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to serve as the first point of contact for patients.

Familiarity with basic medical terminology and general office documentation practices.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with dependable organizational skills.

Comfortable using standard office systems and learning practice-specific tools and workflows. TalentMatch®
