Position Summary
The Store Operations Product Manager will lead the vision, strategy, and delivery of digital products that modernize and optimize store operations across a large-scale automotive retail network. This role sits at the intersection of technology, retail operations, and enterprise transformation-responsible for shaping the tools, processes, and experiences that enable store teams to operate efficiently, deliver exceptional customer service, and support the company's broader retail evolution.
This role will own the point of sale and shop management products that support day-to-day store operations (e.g., service workflows, sales enablement, inventory processes, workforce tools, shop capacity). You will partner closely with Operations, Field Leadership, Data & Analytics, and Change Management to deliver solutions that scale across thousands of retail locations. Responsibilities
Define and own the product vision and roadmap for Store Operations technology, ensuring alignment with enterprise retail transformation goals.
Lead discovery and requirements gathering with store operators, field leaders, and cross-functional partners to deeply understand operational pain points and opportunities.
Translate business needs into clear product requirements , user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized backlogs.
Drive end-to-end product lifecycle management , from ideation and design through development, launch, adoption, and continuous improvement.
Partner with engineering and UX teams to deliver intuitive, scalable, and resilient solutions that improve store efficiency and employee experience.
Champion data-driven decision-making , leveraging analytics, KPIs, and user feedback to measure product performance and inform enhancements.
Vendor management , including evaluating third-party solutions, negotiating scope and deliverables, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, and holding vendors accountable for performance, quality, and timelines.
Serve as the voice of the store , ensuring that technology solutions reflect real-world operational workflows and constraints.
Collaborate with Change Management and Training teams to ensure successful rollout, adoption, and long-term sustainability of new tools and processes.
Manage stakeholder expectations across IT, Retail Operations, Finance, and Executive Leadership.
Ensure compliance, security, and operational continuity across all store-facing systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in retail transformation , digital modernization, or operational process redesign.
Background in automotive retail, dealership operations, or service center environments.
Familiarity with enterprise retail systems (POS, WMS, CRM, scheduling, service management, etc.).
Experience working with data analytics, user research, and journey mapping.
Strong understanding of change management principles in large organizations.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of product management experience, ideally within retail, automotive, or large multi-location operations.
Proven experience delivering technology solutions in complex enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of store operations , including workflows, staffing, inventory, service processes, and customer experience.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without authority.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
Experience with Agile methodologies and modern product management practices.
