Job Title: Warehouse and Operational Support Specialist
Job Description
This role provides hands-on warehouse and operational support across multiple functions, including receiving, material handling, facility upkeep, and coordination with office teams. You will help ensure that shipments are accurately processed, materials are safely stored and handled, and the warehouse operates efficiently in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.
Responsibilities
Provide general warehouse support across multiple functions to ensure smooth daily operations.
Break down pallets, boxes, and materials, including drywall and other freight shipments.
Assist with facility maintenance and cleanliness to maintain a safe and organized working environment.
Perform hands-on general labor tasks as needed to support daily warehouse operations.
Assist with demolition and rebuilding of test walls, including drywall hanging and finishing.
Participate in warehouse safety walks and help implement safety updates and improvements.
Support the Receiving Department with daily receiving and material handling activities.
Offload incoming shipments safely and efficiently using appropriate equipment and techniques.
Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, and quality, and report any discrepancies.
Organize and store materials properly to ensure they are secure, accessible, and well-labeled.
Maintain accurate documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments, including any required records.
Crate and palletize outgoing shipments according to specified requirements and standards.
Load outgoing shipments safely and efficiently, ensuring proper securing of materials.
Follow a structured, standardized receiving process for all shipments to maintain consistency and accuracy.
Take ownership of receiving responsibilities, ensuring all deliveries are properly handled and accounted for.
Coordinate with internal office teams to align delivery schedules and warehouse readiness.
Ensure all deliveries are received during designated working hours and according to established procedures.
Communicate scheduling conflicts, delays, or issues promptly to relevant team members.
Submit incident reports when necessary and support follow-up actions.
Handle general labor tasks such as packaging, packing, palletizing, loading, and material handling.
Support basic inventory-related tasks, including organizing stock and assisting with inventory accuracy.
Contribute to quality assurance of shipments by checking documentation and verifying order details.
Demonstrate proactive teamwork, accountability, and a strong commitment to safety, structure, and efficiency in warehouse operations.
Essential Skills
Experience in warehouse operations or general labor preferred.
Machine Operator Certification required.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials safely and repeatedly.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate receiving, documentation, and material handling.
Organizational skills to keep materials, documentation, and work areas orderly.
Reliable and punctual, with a strong sense of responsibility and follow-through.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines.
Effective communication skills to coordinate with office teams and warehouse staff.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, physically demanding warehouse environment.
Experience with general labor tasks such as packaging, packing, loading, and palletizing.
Ability to follow standardized processes and safety procedures consistently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Background in material handling, including palletizing, crating, and organizing freight.
Familiarity with documenting shipments, completing basic paperwork, and reporting discrepancies.
Experience supporting inventory activities such as stock organization and basic inventory checks.
Exposure to quality assurance of shipments, including verifying contents and condition.
Demonstrated commitment to safety, including participation in safety walks or similar programs.
Comfort working with building materials such as drywall and assisting with basic construction-related tasks.
Strong sense of accountability and ownership over assigned responsibilities.
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across warehouse and office functions.

Work Environment
This position operates in a warehouse setting that requires regular physical labor and hands-on work. You will handle materials such as drywall and freight shipments, and spend much of the day on your feet performing tasks like lifting, carrying, loading, unloading, and organizing materials. The environment is fast-paced and team-oriented, with a strong focus on safety, structure, and efficiency. You will participate in safety walks, follow standardized receiving procedures, and work closely with both warehouse and office teams to coordinate deliveries and daily operations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Francisco, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
