Medical Assistant

Palo Alto, CA | $30-$34/hr. | Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM-5:00 PM

Are you a detail-oriented Medical Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment? We are seeking a compassionate and organized MA to support a leading healthcare team during a 3-month leave coverage assignment. This is a great opportunity to gain experience with a highly respected healthcare organization while making a meaningful impact on patient care.

What You'll Be Doing:

Answer patient calls regarding appointment scheduling, medication refills, and provider messages

Perform patient intake and obtain vital signs including height, weight, and blood pressure

Manage high-volume administrative tasks and patient/provider communications

Contact pharmacies to verify prescription receipt and resolve medication-related issues

Assist with medication prior authorizations

Support appointment registration and front-office workflows

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required

Medical Assistant Certificate from an approved diploma school/institution or equivalent documented training required

Previous Medical Assistant experience in a clinic or outpatient setting preferred

Strong communication and multitasking skills

Comfortable handling both clinical and administrative responsibilities

Ability to work efficiently in a busy healthcare environment

Professional, dependable, and patient-focused attitude

Pay Details: $30.00 to $34.00 per hour
