As a Syndicate Operations Manager within JPMorgan Chase, you will be a key player in our team, leveraging your deep knowledge of syndicated capital markets transactions (including new issue debt) to support seamless execution across the syndication lifecycle. Your role will involve managing a diverse team, interpreting stakeholder needs across Syndicate, Sales, Trading, Investment Banking, Operations, and Finance, and identifying trends to generate innovative solutions while mitigating operational, regulatory, and economic risks. You will be responsible for end-to-end syndicate deal support and operational controls, including settlement-related processing, payment support, and timely, accurate communication and data management. Your advanced understanding of automation technologies and data literacy will be crucial in optimizing our systems and making data-driven decisions. As a recognized expert in your field, you will use your strong presentation skills and influence to communicate insights, manage internal stakeholders, and lead your team through change. Your work will have a wide-ranging impact on the efficiency and execution of New Issuances coming to market, contributing to the overall success of our firm.
Job responsibilities
Oversee the end-to-end syndicate operations processing and controls, ensuring accurate and timely support for deal setup, trade booking support, high value payments processing, and downstream settlement readiness in line with operational policies and precedents.
Utilize advanced knowledge of Primary Markets and Syndicate transactions within the Fixed Income New Issue market space to monitor and manage operational checkpoints (e.g., DTC closings, FINRA reporting data quality, payment controls), identifying trends and potential risks.
Implement automation technologies and data analysis techniques to optimize syndicate operating processes and controls, enhance efficiency, and inform strategic decisions.
Lead and manage a diverse team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in our syndicate operations.
Engage with internal stakeholders and clients, to communicate insights, drive change, resolve queries efficiently, and align operations with the firm's strategic objectives.
Oversee high-value payments daily in accordance with Global Transfer Funds Policy.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in syndicate operations and/or capital markets operations, specifically supporting the new issue lifecycle (e.g., deal setup, trade processing, regulatory reporting, and settlement readiness) and/or experience with Municipal Bonds, Corporate HG/HY, CLOs, GEM, ABS, RMBS, CMBS products.
Demonstrated advanced skills in using automation technologies to optimize syndicate workflows, controls, and operating processes.
Advanced knowledge of capital markets products and syndicate processes, including their definitions, operating procedures, and relevant industry regulations.
Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse team, with a focus on fostering continuous improvement and innovation.
Expertise in data analysis techniques, with the ability to communicate data-driven insights effectively to inform strategic decisions.
Expertise to create presentations across various levels. Ability to deliver in person & virtual presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
