Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

The General Production Worker supports metal fabrication and powder coating operations while maintaining a clean, safe work environment and consistent quality. This is a great entry-level opportunity to gain hands-on manufacturing experience, receive training, and grow with a supportive team.

Responsibilities

Apply powder coating according to established quality standards

Inspect parts for visual and dimensional quality

Handle, stage, move, and package materials and finished products

Work with sheet metal components during fabrication and finishing

Safely use hand and power tools

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Follow safety procedures and supervisor instructions

Collaborate with team members to meet production goals

Essential Skills

Ability to follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures.

Willingness to learn every part of the production and welding process.

Comfort working in a general labor role within a production or warehouse environment.

Ability to perform basic inspections and monitor weld quality with attention to detail.

Capability to use power tools and hand tools safely after training.

Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Reliability and strong work ethic in a fast-paced production setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with stick welding is a plus.

Previous experience working with sheet metal is beneficial but not necessary

Interest in developing welding and metal fabrication skills through hands-on training.

Openness to cross-training and learning multiple steps in the fabrication and finishing process.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middletown, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
