Job Title: Warehouse Worker / Returns Processor
Job Description
This role focuses on processing returned automotive parts, performing detailed part inspections, and accurately receiving, stocking, and cataloging inventory within a busy distribution warehouse. You will handle a wide range of car parts, maintain precise inventory records in a warehouse management system, and support both inbound and outbound operations to ensure efficient and accurate product flow.
Responsibilities
Process returned products in the Returns Department, including inspecting parts for damage or defects and determining whether they meet company standards.
Handle a variety of automotive parts such as engines, nuts, bolts, short block transmissions, doors, bumpers, and other accessories for shipping and receiving across West Coast operations.
Perform receiving activities, including unloading, verifying, and documenting incoming shipments.
Complete putaway tasks by accurately placing received inventory into designated storage locations within the warehouse.
Walk the warehouse to perform manual cycle counts by hand, using a clipboard to record counts before entering data into the Manhattan warehouse management system.
Update inventory counts regularly and maintain accurate inventory records to share with management and other stakeholders.
Manage inventory by stocking, organizing, and cataloging products to ensure items are easy to locate and properly tracked.
Perform quality checks on stored inventory and discard or remove items that do not meet company standards.
Identify and report discrepancies in inventory levels that may indicate issues such as shrinkage or loss.
Support inbound and outbound operations by pulling and staging orders accurately and efficiently for shipment.
Assist with general warehouse duties such as inventory control, shipping, receiving, and order pulling as needed.
Follow all health and safety procedures and instructions to maintain a safe working environment.
Work independently and demonstrate strong self-sufficiency while contributing positively to the broader warehouse team.
Essential Skills
Proven experience with cycle counting in a warehouse or distribution environment.
Hands-on inventory experience, including inventory control, updating counts, and maintaining records.
Practical knowledge of shipping and receiving processes in a warehouse setting.
Experience as an order puller, including inbound and outbound order pulling and staging.
Ability to perform manual inventory counts and accurately transfer data from paper to a warehouse management system.
Strong attention to detail when inspecting parts and performing quality checks.
Ability to work independently and be self-sufficient while following established procedures and directions.
Demonstrated strong work ethic, reliability, and a great attitude.
Ability to follow health and safety directions consistently.
Sound judgment and common sense in day-to-day decision-making within the warehouse.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working in a returns department or in returns processing is a plus.
Familiarity with the Manhattan warehouse management system or similar WMS is an advantage.
Previous experience handling automotive parts or working in an automotive distribution environment is beneficial.

Work Environment
You will work in a distribution warehouse environment with equipment, racking, and a large inventory of automotive parts. The setting can be cold in the winter and hot in the summer, so you should be comfortable working in varying temperatures. The role involves regular walking, standing, and handling of parts throughout the warehouse. Dress code includes work pants or shorts (jeans are not recommended), a shirt, and steel-toed shoes for safety. The environment emphasizes health and safety, with clear procedures and expectations for following directions and maintaining a safe workplace.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
