Staff Accountant

Full Time Engagement Professionals Practice

Fort Worth and surrounding areas

Robert Half's Full Time Engagement Professionals practice is growing, and we are hiring Staff Accountants to join our team. This is a full time, permanent position where you will be deployed on client engagements to support critical accounting functions, projects, and interim needs.

This role is ideal for someone who wants variety in their work, enjoys stepping into new environments, and can make an immediate impact.

What you will do:

Support month end close by preparing and posting journal entries

Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances

Perform account analysis and research unusual transactions

Assist with financial reporting, forecasting, and management analysis

Prepare audit support and regulatory documentation

Support process improvements and system transitions

Work closely with client teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data

Take on special projects tied to business operations and finance initiatives

What we are looking for:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

0 to 2 years of accounting experience or strong internship experience

Understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles

Strong Excel skills including pivots and lookups

Ability to analyze data and identify trends or discrepancies

Strong communication skills and professional presence

Ability to multitask and adapt in fast paced environments

Work environment expectations:

This role supports clients across the Fort Worth area

Candidates must be able to work onsite with clients as needed

Must be comfortable commuting within a 30 mile radius

Flexibility to adapt to different teams, systems, and industries

Compensation and benefits:

Pay range: $30 to $38 per hour, based on experience

Full time, permanent employment

Bonus eligibility tied to performance and utilization

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related discipline.

Up to 2 years of accounting experience, including relevant internship experience.

Foundational knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger activity.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including working with large volumes of data.

Experience or familiarity with journal entries, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

Strong analytical and organizational skills with careful attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
